Defining A Network

A network can be defined as two or more computers linked together for the purpose of communication, resource sharing and file exchange. Computers are linked together with the aid of cables and wireless technologies. Examples of which are satellites, infrared light beams or radio waves. Computers of different types can communicate with the aid of a device known as a network protocol. In order for computers to communicate effectively on a network, they must use a common protocol.
