What is the Difference between IT and ICT? As stated above, the term Information technology (IT) refers to the application of computers while Information and communication technology (ICT) refers to the application of computers and telecommunication technologies. However, the two terms are used interchangeably, that is, IT (in a broad sense), includes all telecommunication as well as computing technologies.
